MINISTERIAL ORDER NO. 6/INSURANCE DATED 4.4.1981 INRESPECT OF RAISING THE FUNERAL EXPENSES GRANT TO THE INSURED IN THE EVENT OF HIS DEATH AND THE INTEREST ACCORDING ON THE LUMP SUM COMPENSATION
The Minister for Labour and Social Affairs, Having referred to Articles 43 and 91 of the Law on Social Insurance promulgated by Amiri Decree No. 24 of 1976, And amended as per Amiri Decree No. 27 of 1976, And Amiri Decree No. 12 of 1977, And to Ministerial Order No. 10/Insurance issued on 23.9.1976 concerning Funeral Expenses Grant, And to the resolution of the Board of the General Organisation for Social Insurance passed at its sitting held on 11 March 1981 ordering the increase of the funeral expenses grant and the interest accruing on the lump sum compensation from the date of cessation of social insurance until the date of payment, And upon the proposal of the Director-General of the General Organisation for Social Insurance, Hereby orders :
Article 1
The funeral expenses grant to be paid in the event of the insured's death after having contributed to social insurance for a period of not less than 6 consecutive months shall be doubled so as to be BD. 100/-. Payment of this grant shall be in the manner prescribed in Article 91 of the aforesaid Law.
Article 2
Interest accruing on the lump sum compensation referred to in Article 43 of the Law on Social Insurance shall be raised to 5%.
Article 3
This Order shall be effective as from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
