The Social Insurance Organization (SIO) is the Kingdom of Bahrain's official agency for the advancement of social insurance and pension services to all individuals subject to the Civil Law (Public Sector) and the Social Insurance Law (Private Sector) .

PART 4: MINISTERIAL ORDERS

MINISTERIALORDER NO. 10/INSURANCE DATED 18.9.1976 WITH RESPECT TO FUNERAL EXPENSES GRANT

The Minister for Labour and Social Affairs, After referring to Article 91 of the Law on Social Insurance issued by Decree Law No. 24/1976; And upon the proposal of the Director General of the General Organisation for Social Insurance; Hereby orders :

Article 1

There shall be paid a grant of BD 50/- for funeral expenses in case of termination of the services of the insured person because of death, provided contributions have been made to GOSI, for at least a period of six months. The said BD 50/- shall be paid in the manner stated in Article 91 of the afore-mentioned Law.

Article 2

This order shall be submitted to the Board of Directors of the General Organisation for Social Insurance at its first meeting.

Article 3

This order shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into effect on the 1st of October 1976.
