Manama, Feb. 22 (BNA): The Social Insurance Organization announced developments in correcting the insurance status of violators of the Productive Home Program (Khatwa), stressing the continuation of settlement procedures and receiving grievances from program members who have added previous service periods in ways that violate the law, in order to guarantee the rights of all parties in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
In this context, the organization explained that it has received 174 grievances so far, and after studying the cases and documents submitted, 54 cases were accepted after meeting the conditions, and the pensions due to these cases will be disbursed retroactively, confirming the organization's keenness to correct the insurance status of those entitled to it in a manner that preserves the rights of all parties.
The Authority also indicated that the documents that can be accepted to prove the activity during the periods to be included include any dated evidence documenting the activity, such as photos of projects or products, participation in relevant exhibitions or events, posts on social media accounts, bank account balances related to the activity, or any other dated documents or evidence supporting the practice of the activity during the required period.
The Authority confirms that the grievances door is still open for those wishing to submit their objections via the dedicated electronic page: https://www.sio.gov.bh/Khatwa/ and calls on everyone to submit the required documents to complete their procedures as soon as possible.
For its part, the Ministry of Labor confirmed that it has begun registering violators from the Productive Home Program (Khatwa) whose retirement pensions have been suspended, within the lists of applications for the unemployment allowance program for job seekers.
The ministry explained that after studying the cases eligible to receive unemployment allowance to ensure that they meet the conditions and laws followed in this regard, 227 cases have been accepted so far after ensuring that they have completed all the necessary requirements, in order to disburse their financial dues.
The ministry confirmed that work is underway to complete the study of the remaining cases in preparation for their registration and obtaining the financial benefits of the system, in addition to providing the necessary support to them through the available job vacancies.
In a related context, the Ministry of Social Development confirmed that cases that meet the eligibility requirements have been directed to apply for the social support programs provided by the ministry, to ensure that they benefit from the available services in accordance with the specified terms and conditions.
The ministry stressed its keenness to deliver support to those entitled to it according to the highest standards of transparency and justice in providing social assistance, calling on beneficiaries to cooperate by updating their data and adhering to the specified requirements, noting that its official channels are available to respond to any inquiries related to the approved procedures.
The General Authority for Social Insurance stressed the importance of violators' cooperation with the proposed settlement procedures, responding to official correspondence and completing the required requirements within the specified deadlines, stressing that these procedures aim to guarantee the rights of all parties and maintain the integrity of the insurance system.
The Authority explained that cases that did not respond to settlement attempts will be referred to the Public Prosecution to take the necessary legal measures against them, within the framework of its commitment to establishing the principles of justice, accountability and responsibility, which contributes to achieving citizens' aspirations and enhancing the goals of the comprehensive development process.
The Authority also confirmed that this step comes to protect the rights of retirees and beneficiaries from any illegal practices, and to prevent any attempts to exploit or defraud social insurance systems, stressing that adherence to laws and regulations is the way to ensure the sustainability of insurance rights for all citizens.
